Courtney Dietrich continues to improve under the basket with each ensuing game. Against Ephrata, Courtney had 14 rebounds, 13 points and 3 steals to lead the Lady Goats statistically.

Lady Goats keep retro game exciting

“It was another pretty exciting game,” stated Coach Frank Phelps. “The girls just continue to get better and better. We’ve played some pretty tough teams and have competed with all of them”
January 3rds annual RETRO game was no different. It took the first quarter of play to settle down as the 2A Lady Tigers outscored Chelan 11-6 and it looked as though the Lady Goats were in for a long evening.
By the end of the first half, the Lady Goats had fought back to within three points of the Lady Tigers.
In the third quarter, Chelan forced Ephrata in to some turnovers which they were able to capitalize on and they ended up only one point behind the Tigers at the end of three, and it looked like Chelan had the potential to win this game, but going down the stretch, turnovers (33) and missed free throws made the difference at the buzzer with Ephrata taking the victory home with a score of 42-38.
“They are playing very hard,” said Coach Frank Phelps. “Eventually that will pay off for them in a win.”
