Game Highlights:

The Manson baseball team completed a game that was called due to darkness in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Senior Travis Pittman pitched the conclusion of the game and gave up one run.

Immediately following the conclusion of the first game, 8th grader Sterling Fournier took the hill and proceeded to pitch into the 6th inning and gave our team a shot at a win.  8th grader Mason Cameron did the catching duties and worked hard throughout the entire game.  The coaching staff was really looking for Sterling to go deep into the game and he did just that and had an excellent performance.  Sterling recorded 11 strikeouts, three walks, one hit batsman and didnít give up a run until the 5th inning; however, the relief pitchers could not sustain the momentum Sterling had generated.  Mikey Pittman, Mike Sanchez, Travis Pittman, and Jared LaMar all took shots at pitching and closing the door and could not.  The relief gave up seven runs in two innings.

The Trojans put up a single run in the 2nd and 3rd and six runs in the final inning as they managed to piece together a rally stringing together five straight hits, but when the dust settled in the seventh inning runners were left stranded on first and second base.  Kent Ustanik, Travis Pittman, Sterling Fournier, and Mike Sanchez all had two hits on the night, James Calhoun, Chris McFadden and Jared LaMar each had one hit.  Mike Sanchez is the teamís hottest hitter and has 5 RBIís in the last two games.

Manson had a strong and supportive home crowd and was treated to an exciting game that came down to the wire at the end.

Our next game is double header at Liberty Bell on Saturday, April 20th followed by a home game vs. Bridgeport on Tuesday April 23rd followed by a double header at home vs. Pateros on April 26th
