Game Highlights:

Our team enjoyed a long bus ride to Oroville where players and coaches had a chance to talk about the season and tell a few stories as well.

The Trojans were hungry for a win and finally came through in a big way.  The final score was 12-2 and the ten run rule was put into effect. The Trojans enjoyed their first varsity win in three years and it was a great accomplishment for our team and program.

8th grader Sterling Fournier started pitching and completed three innings when soreness set in his arm and he had to be removed for Freshman Chris McFadden who pitched exceptionally well and recorded the win for the Trojans.  Sophomore Mikey Pittman did a great job as well with the catching duties.

The highlight of the game was the hustle and determination of Senior Kent Ustanik who wanted a Trojan win worse than anyone.  Kent ran the bases very well, was hit hard by a pitch, put up three line drive hits, and showed some needed senior leadership for our team.  Mikey Pittman, Senior Travis Pittman, Freshman Jared LaMar and Chris McFadden all had hits for the Trojans.

The second game of the double header was a quick turn around due to the length of the first game with only about twelve minutes in between games and our rhythm suffered and we came out flat.  Oroville scored 6 runs in the first inning and our momentum was gone.   The game was called due to darkness will be completed in Manson on 16th prior to the regularly scheduled game.

Our next game is on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Pateros first pitch 4:05 p.m., followed by a home double header on Saturday April 13th vs. Lake Roosevelt, first pitch 11:05 a.m.
