Lady Goats bring home First Place from So. Whidbey

The Lady Goats won their fourth straight tournament win at the South Whidbey Volleyball Invitational.

Chelan began play by winning its pool, defeating Marysville Pilchuck, 25-13, 26-16, Lopez Island, 25-10, 25-7, and Cascade Christian, 25-12, 25-12.

In semi-final play, the Lady Goats beat South Whidbey 25-12, 25-18. “That win placed us in the championship game against Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) and we defeated them 25-18, 25-20,” wrote Coach Donene Hendricks.

The Lady Goats travel to Quincy on Tuesday to take on the Jackrabbits with JV and C Squads beginning play at 5 p.m. Varsity will follow the JV game.

Chelan hosts Okanogan on Thursday night with the varsity following JV action that begins at 5 p.m. Varsity play usually begins right around 7 p.m.

“We have been the road warriors so far and we would love to get the community out to support these young ladies for our first match at Chelan,” said Coach Hendricks.
