It was a great overtime win for the Chelan Goats last Friday night. Eli Jenkins sealed the win off a Luke Gleasman pass in overtime giving the Goats a 14-7 victory to relish on the long ride home. “We are getting a little better every week,” said Coach Travis Domser.

The lead rusher for this game was Konnar Stevens who ended up with a huge 146 yards with the longest run being 81 of those 146 yards. Konnar also received for another 25 yards giving him 171 yard game.

“Quincy did a good job keying in on Kai (Clausen),” said Domser. Clausen ended up with 48 yards rushing and one pass reception for 6 yards. “He was getting 3, 4 and 5 yards a carry,” said Domser who said Quincy has a great defensive team.

Quincy’s attention on Clausen opened up Konnar. “Once he gets clear, he’s gone,” said Domser.

Chelan’s other touchdown came in the third quarter with Konnar Stevens running the ball in.

Jared Anderson was successful with both after point kicks.

On defense, it was Asa Schwartz leading the tackle statistics with 19 and 5 assists. Konnar Stevens added 10 with 4 assists.

“Anytime you win in this league, it’s a good game,” said Domser.

Chelan hosts the Omak Pioneers this coming Friday night for homecoming.
