Lady Goats host Cashmere in first playoff game
Game begins at 4:30 at softball field

As a young team, the Lady Goats had a great season, ending with a 7-7 league record to take fourth place. On Tuesday, May 7, the Lady Goats will host the Cashmere Bulldogs in the first post season playoff game.

On Senior night, last Friday, Chelan hosted the Quincy Jackrabbits, losing the first game 8-5 and then winning the nightcap 1-10 in the bottom of the 7th inning. “We were down 10-5 and the girls all had quality at bats, scoring six runs to pull out this win,” said Coach Jeff Barker.
Amanda Reeves pitched the second game giving up 10 runs, 6 of them earned on 13 hits by Quincy. She had 4 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks.
Offensively the team came out in the final inning and pulled out the win. Mary Fitspatrick went 1-3 with a double; Hailey Habich was 2-2 with a double; Courtney Dietrich was 2-4 with a 3-run home run; Mariela Galvan was 204 and Lindsey Brownfield went 1-3 with a 2-run home run to win the nightcap.
Aleea Ferguson was in the circle in game one and Chelan found itself down 7-1 going into the 6th inning. She gave up 8 runs, 6 of them earned on 13 hits, 4 strikeouts and only 1 walk.
Offensively, Mariela Galvan was 2-3 and Hailey Habich was 3-4 with a double.
On Tuesday, April 30, the Lady Goats traveled to Brewster and lost both games of the doubleheader 12-7 and 12-7. Offensively, Samantha Frederick had a home run.
On April 23, Chelan defeated the Cashmere Bulldogs with a 5-2 win.
