On Tuesday, the Manson track and field team participated in the Wenatchee Invitational. It was a huge meet with over 800 athletes. The weather was cool, but not the worst we have seen.
It was the first meet of the season. For several of our kids this was their first high school meet. For others it was a chance to shake some rust off and get some competition under their belts.
There were no team scores kept at the meet, just individual performances. Considering the volume of kids participating, we had several athletes stand out.
Casey Sorensen won both the shot put and the discus events.
Our girls 4 x 100 relay team placed 2nd out of 8 teams.
