Since Chelan lost its first league match against a tough Cascade team, they have been on a roll, not losing a match and they now sit solidly in second place in the Caribou Trail League.

On Thursday evening, October 11, the Lady Goats will host their arch rival Cascade for their second match up of the season. If they can win this match, the venerable Goats will be in a tie for first place. This is the match to come and watch as both teams battle it out… Cascade to keep that first place position and Chelan to prove to Cascade that their win was really just a fluke.

On Thursday, September 27, the Goats swept the Lady Tigers in three games 25-8, 25-8, 25.2. “Our serving was a dominating force as the team combined for a team high 22 aces,” said Coach Donene Hendricks.

            Courtney Dietrich – 10 kill, 2 blocks

                Abby Phelps – 4 kills, 12 assists, 23/24 with 10 aces

                Karle Pittsinger – 11/12 with 5 aces, 7 assists, 2 kills, 1 block

                Jenny Sundberg – 3 kills

                Morgan Hawkins – 3 kills

                Makenzie Harris – 3 kills

On Tuesday evening, September 29, the Goats traveled to Omak where they beat the Pioneers 25-8, 25-14, 25-19. All three squads posted wins.

                Courtney Dietrich – 16 kills, 6/7 serving with 2 aces, 2 blocks, 6 digs

                Abby Phelps – 14 kills, 16 assists, 17/18 serving with 3 aces

                Jenny Sundberg – 4 kills, 4/5 serving

                Emily Schramm – 3 kills, 5/5 passing on serve/receive

Morgan Hawkins – 16/18 serving with 4 aces, 4 digs

Karle Pittsinger – 21 assists, 15/15 serving with 1 ace

Chelan hosted the Brewster Bears on Saturday afternoon, October 2,  posting a hard fought win 25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 25-13. “It was a fun match to watch with some great hitting and defense from both sides of the net,” said Hendricks.

                Courtney Dietrich – 17 kills, 5 blocks, 10 digs, 21-24 serving with 7 aces

                Abby Phelps – 12 kills, 21 assists, 1 block, 9 digs, 13/13 seriving

                Karle Pittsinger – 21 assists, 4 kills, 15/16 serving with 1 ace

MaKenzie Harris – 6 kills, 14/15 at the service line, 5 digs

                Emily Schramm – 8 digs

                Tess Young – 12 digs

“Emily and Tess were huge for us both defensively as well as in serve/receive,” said Coach Hendricks.

She would love to see the community come out for Thursday’s match-up against first place Cascade at 7 p.m.
