The Goats will play the Cascade Kodiaks on Saturday in a double header beginning at 11 a.m. for the opener and 1 p.m. for the nightcap.

Chelan v Cashmere:

It was an ugly league match up when Chelan traveled to rival Cashmere for a league game. “We lost two tough ones to the Bulldogs,” said Coach Jim Burbery.

Chelan lost game one 14-0 and game two 17-0. “We couldn’t get the bats going and only had three hits on the day,” said Burbery. “We also committed nine errors.” This of course, just compounded a bad day for the Goats.

Chelan v Lakeside (non-league)

Chelan hosted Lakeside from North Seattle on Thursday, April 12 and lost that game 5-0. “We played solid defense and committed only one error,” said Burbery. The team allowed only three earned runs but couldn’t get its own bats going. “We only had two hits during this game.”

Jake Burbery started the game on the mound and picked up the loss. He was relieved by Jesus Pascasio. Also taking turns on the mound were Gunner Gocke, Jerod Anderson, Aaron Schram and Gabe Quigley.

Chelan v Omak

Chelan hosted the Omak Pioneers on Tuesday, April 10 and came away with a league victory 4-3.

Jarod Anderson started on the mound and pitched three strong innings. Gabe Quigley came in to relieve and also had three innings, picking up the win. Aaron Schram picked up another save in the final inning.

The Goats bats were working against Omak and the team came up with seven hits. Offensively it was Tyler Hood 2-3, w/1 RBI, Jesus Pascasio  1-3, Gabe Quigley 1-3, w/1 RBI, Gunner Gocke 1-3, 1 RBI, Jarod Anderson 1-2, Marc Ray 1-2.

The winning run came when Omak’s pitcher balked and Jake Burbery was brought in for the 4th run from third base in the sixth inning with two out.
