Lady Goats continue their Cinderella Season with win over Goldendale 45-39, and on to Yakima.

2/28/12 (-25)

Chelan Lady Goats continue their Cinderella Season with a trip to the Yakima Sundome and the final 8, 1A State Girls Basketball Championship.  Their ticket got punched following their win over the ladies from Goldendale.

GoLakeChelan's Dave Rogge caught up with a couple of the girls and Coach Phelps to talk about their win on Saturday over Goldendale.  As I expressed to several of the girls, the smiles on their faces and the tears in their eyes, said it all about their excitement.  If you were at the game or listen on radio, you know that Courtney Dietrich tweeked her ankle.  So when talking with her, Rogge was quick to ask about her status and how the ankle was feeling.  He also got the opportunity to talk to Danielle Smythe one of the senior leaders on the team.  Rogge was curious about how she saw her leadership coming into play.  Hear what she had to say.  And for the first time we spoke with Etta Godwin, one of the newer members of the varsity team, and how excited she was being in this position.  And ofcourse we spoke with Coach Phelps, hear his comments about the Goldendale game and what is the key for this week in Yakima.  The Lady Goats drew Okanogan Lady Bulldogs in their opening game.  Playing each other for the 5th time means that they will know each other very well.  I am sure the plan for the Lady Goats will focus on their knowledge.

GLC at this tournament time, want to thank Connie Miller, RPT, and her staff at Lake Chelan Physical Therapy for their continued support of these videos.
