Lady Goats, after a bit of a disappointing weekend at the Regional Match, losing to Colville in 4 sets, leave for Yakima and the State Tournament.

 Nov 10th

After a disappointing weekend when the Lady Goats lost in the Regional Finals in 4 matches to Colville, they wrapped up this weeks practices and headed for the 1A State Volleyball Championships.

The #1 ranked Chelan Lady Mountain Goats after completing an undefeated league season and winning the CTL Championship, had set some pretty lofty goals for themselves moving into the post-season.  One of those was to win a Regional Championship and continue their undefeated season and then to move to the State Championship and win there.  Well they ran into #2 ranked Colville and although they led in each of the first 3 sets, they lost 2 of the 3 and ultimately a 4th and the Regional Championship.  This loss put them at the #2 seed from the Region 6/7.  When GLC talked to Coach Hendricks about the loss, she had a special take on it.  That is the ladies had to step back and realize that once they start playing in the post-season they have to bring it every night as the teams will only get better.  She felt strongly that it helped the girls refocus their goals and come out ready to play like a team that wants a State Championship.
