Coach Darren Talley, coach of the Chelan Football Team announces 2 Chelan players receive All-State nods.  Senior Linebacker Cole Schwartz named 1st team All-State 1A Defense.  Junior Michael Amsel given Honorable mention Offensive Quarterback.

GoLakeChelan's Dave Rogge caught up with Coach Talley, Cole Schwartz and Michael Amsel to discuss the players 1A All-State selections.  Coach Talley told Rogge that these were two very special guys and truly deserve their selections.  Senior Cole Schwartz has a habit of breaking records.  Cole finished his senior year with 170 sole and assisted tackles.  He was also selected as the Caribou Trail League Defensive MVP.  Michael Amsel a player who leads so effectively and makes plays.  As quarterback for the Goats Michael threw the ball for over 1200 yards while using his legs to generate another nearly 1000 yards.  And the exciting thing about Michael Amsel is that he is just a junior.  Both players expressed disappointment that more of their teammates did not get selected as All-State players.  "Were it not for our teammates, these awards would not be possible."  Please take a moment and hear what each of them has to say.
