Goats lose their 1st contest of the 2012 campaign to South Whidbey High School, 15-28 after lead at end of 1st half. Coach Talley shares what the teams focus will be at practice this week as they prepare for Naches High School.
GoLakeChelan's Dave Rogge caught up with Coach Darren Talley, Monday afternoon as the team was preparing to start practice and preparation for the Naches High School. Coach Talley shared with us in the interview that the team was going to have to really work on their point of attack for the offensive line. After reviewing the video of the game, there is need for work on their blocking schemes. Their youth really showed in the 2nd half as their opponent shut down the running game. This week, although there will still be some schuffling of quarterbacks this week, Talley emphasized that they were going to give one quarterback more reps. this week to better prepare them for a passing game. We also spoke with Alex Cortez, DE, who had a great 1st half along with Asa Schwartz with multiple quarterback sacks. Coach Talley was very proud of his D-line the first half they played so hard and just shut the opponent down. Take a moment and listen to the interviews of Coach Talley and senior Alex Cortez.
