2012 Chelan High Mountain Goats begin the new season with 2-a-day practices beginning the 15th of August. GoLakeChelan's Dave Rogge spoke with Coach Talley about the teams 2012 expectations.
It is the middle of August and time for the boys of Fall to begin to collecting at the East end of the Football Stadium at Sargentís Field.Itís time for the Mountain Goats football season to get underway. The young men will begin the 2-a-day sessions as they begin preparation for the 2012 Football Campaign.
GoLakeChelan's Dave Rogge met up with Coach Darren Talley, Head Coach of the CHS Mountain Goats to talk about the upcoming 2012 Campaign and what changes the fans will see from the new Goats. Coach Talley pointed out that the Goats graduated a number of excellent seniors last Spring but from what he saw at Camp in July, the Goats are going to be just fine again this year. He feels that the Goats should be firmly in the hunt again for the Caribou Trail League Championship. He feels that this group of Goats have the potential to be the biggest and quickest group on the front line players that the Goats have had since Talley arrived in Chelan. He identified some of the players he believes will have a great chance to break into the starting line-up. A couple of the players are freshmen that he believes could be seeing alot of varsity playing time. Please take a moment and listen to Coach Talley's comments. He is also very excited about the new coaches he has, several of them guys who have played for Chelan in the last few years. Talley is very excited about the contributions these fellows made as players, and now what they can offer as coaches.
