We really had a hard time getting going tonight. The odds were really against us though. We only had eight players suited up tonight (two of them hurting with soar knees,) Cheyanne McFadden sprained her ankle and was out and another girl decided not to come play. On top of being shorthanded we we had the luxury of playing Friday night (Oroville didn't) and we we got to ride a bus all the way there to play on tired legs. With all that stacked against us, I am proud of the way the girls hustled all game long and the way they continued to battle the much bigger and very physical oroville girls. Our girls showed a lot of heart just like they always do. Free throws really hurt us as a team again tonight as we were 3-17 for the game. We really hope to be in full force when we go visit Pateros Tuesday and try to mess up the league standings again. Ofelia Rodriuez gave them trouble with her speed as she pulled down six offensive rebounds. Sierra Miller did good job blocking out the backside in the second half and had two offensive rebounds of her own. Jaque Guillen continues to be our most improved player every game as she led us in rebounds (nine) and had our only five points in the first quarter. Hailey Ellsworth continued her fine season with a game high thirteen points and seven steals. Bianca Sanchez came and played her best game of the season defensively in our zone and grabbed two rebounds. Thalia Lepley did a great job of anticipating the ball as she had three steals and six rebounds. Abby Bridgewater played her heart out, but you could tell she was soar from friday's game. She was still able to get seven rebounds and five points. Itzel Castro started her second game of the year and had two steals and one assist.
