Youth football comes to Chelan this Saturday
submitted by Coach/Organizer Brian Hendricks

This Saturday, October 9, our Chelan Youth Football program will be playing all three teams at home on the Chelan high school football field.

Our Green bantam team will play at 10:00 am, the Juniors will play at 12:00 pm and the Red bantam team will play at 1:30.  This is the only weekend that all three teams will be at home at the same time.

This gives us the opportunity to highlight the kids and the hard work and effort that they have put into their practices and games.  We will have a free hotdog lunch for each of the teams and coaches that are playing here this weekend.  For all others the concession stand will be open to purchase snacks, drinks and hotdogs.

We would not be able to provide such a positive environment for over 60 kids if it were not for some very generous donations from our local business and supporters.  I would like add a big THANK YOU to this list of sponsors for their generous support of our program:

Chelan Rotary, Chelan Fruit Company, Chelan Multi Ė Sport Foundation, Chelan Fresh Marketing, Wilbur-Ellis Company, Jimís Pumping Service, A and J mini-storage, Lake Chelan Building Supply, Sign Girl, Cast Gold Restorations, Chelan Best Western Resort, Images North West, Photos by Spike, Wal-Mart, Tunnel Hill Granite, Dan Winship, Robison Orchards, Rodeo Lake Chelan, Oules Family Orchard, Red Apple Cattle Company and GoLakeChelan.com.  This program would not be possible without their support.

Finally I would like to thank the volunteer coaching staff for each of these teams for their dedication to these kids in making this such a positive experience.

This weekend would be a great opportunity for the community to come out and support these young athletes and enjoy some great football as played by Chelanís future football stars.

 Thanks,

 Brian Hendricks
