Eagles fall 62-0 to Chelan Goats
by Richard Uhlhorn

It was a beautiful fall evening for football. The harvest moon was high in the sky and the Carson Graham Eagles were down from Vancouver, B.C., to take on the Chelan Goats.

It ended up being a long, long night for the Eagles as Chelan capitalized on its ability to take advantage of any fumble or other error along with running a successful offense and defense.

Chelanís coaches played the varsity through three quarters before bringing in the younger kids to finish off the Eagles 62-0.

There was a lot to cheer about as the Goats rambled down the field on huge plays, opening with two touchdown passes to Aaron McQuaid from Michael Amsel Jr. Amsel, Matt Peterson, Matt Pittsinger, Cole Schwartz, and in the fourth quarter, Freshman Bobby Anderson all scored against the Warriors. Robin Weathersby is out for several weeks with a sprained LCL.

Defensively, the Chelan Goats were on top of their game and the Eagles who desperately tried to get some offense going, ran into a relentless defense.

The full stats will be posted soon.

Next Friday, Chelan begins its league schedule when they host Okanogan.
