Chelan is playing some very good baseball starting on the mound and ending at the plate.
Chelan Goats split doubleheader with Brewster
Beat Tonasket on April 2 on the road

The Chelan Goat baseball team has been busy over the past several days. On Tuesday, April 5, the Goats hosted Brewster in a non-league match and ended up winning the opener 5-4, but losing the nightcap 15-4.
In the opener, Aaron Schramm started on the mound and pitched four innings to pick up the win against the Bears.
In the nightcap, Gabe Quigley started on the mound and gave the Goats a strong start until the Bear bats came to life, slamming three homeruns. “We just couldn’t come back from that,” stated Coach Jim Burbery.
Senior Evan Reister continues to be a force at the plate. In game one he was 3 for 3 and in the nightcap, Evan went 2-3. Gunner Gocke also had a good day at the plate driving in several runs.
The Goats are now 3-0 in league play and 4-2 over all.
Chelan hosts Vashon Island on Saturday, April 9, in another non-league match-up. Start time is 11 a.m.
April 2 – Chelan v Tonasket
On Saturday, April 2, Chelan traveled to Tonasket for a doubleheader winning both 12-0 and 11-3.
In game one, Chelan’s Gabe Quigley started on the mound and pitched four good innings to pick up the win. Quigley gave up only one hit while striking out seven and walking none. Quigley was relieved by Jerrod Anderson who pitched the final two innings of the opener with four strikeouts. He allowed only two hits.
Chelan had only two errors and played excellent defense.
Offensively, Chelan had another great day at the plate stroking 13 hits in the opener.
Evan Reister was 3-4 with 2 doubles, an RBI and he scored 3 runs.
Gunnar Gocke was 1-4 with 3 RBI’s
Gabe Quigley and Jerrod Anderson were both 2-3 at the plate
Tyler Hood was 2-4.
Jake Burbery and Armando Reyes were 1-3
Robin Weathersby was 1-5.
