Chelan beats Tonasket – in second place in CTL

Chelan stayed in second place in the Caribou Trail League after beating Tonasket 11-1 in a game that ended after five innings. The win gave Chelan a 5-2 record in league action. “If we can go up to Cascade and beat the Kodiaks on Saturday, I’ll be very happy,” said Coach Jim Burbery after Tuesday’s action. The Goats have a doubleheader beginning at 11 in Leavenworth.


Gab Quigley went all five innings, striking out eight and walking no one. He gave up only three hits. “We played excellent defense today and the team committed no errors.”


“Offensively we hit the ball well getting 11 hits,” said Burbery.
