Last week, Chelanís new coach, Jamie Richards, indicated that the teams big test would come when they faced off against the Manson Trojans on Thursday, May 24.

The Goats ended up in a battle royal with the Trojans, but won the match 1-0 off a penalty kick by Eleazar Galvan in the second minute of the this match.

The rest of the game was a contest of ball handling with both teams having chances to score, but Manson and Chelan held each other scoreless for the rest of the two periods.

Chelanís goalie Ruben Medina recorded the shut-out for Chelan.

Chelan traveled to Warden on Saturday, March 26, and scored a 5-1 win in that match. ďIt took the Chelan boys a little while to get things going their way,Ē reported Assistant Coach Jim Broome.

Chelan found itself down 1-0 until they began a scoring spree in the second half, scoring all five of their goals in 11 minutes.

Jorge Barajas scored first in the 60th minute of the match. Five minutes later, it was Eleazar Galvan scoring off a free kick from approximately 25 yards out. A minute later, junior forward Guada Cardenas scored off an assist from Eleazar Galvan.

In the 69th minute, Galvan added his second goal with another 25 yard shot and then senior defender and Captain JJ Ramirez, assisted by freshman midfielder Humberto Ramirez, scored off a loose ball right in front of the Warden keeper.

Junior goalkeepter, Ruben Medina again recorded the win in goal.
