The Lady Goats celebrate the win over the Connell Eagles at the Yakima Sun Dome on Friday, October 12, during the first round of playoff games towards the State Championship. The Lady Goats brought their best game to Yakima on Friday as they won both matches to qualify for the semi-finals on Saturday with a match set for 2 p.m. They are proving why they entered the State Championships as the number one ranked team in the State.

The girls took Connell down in three games to win that match 25-21, 25-12, 25-19. “They played some of the best Volleyball all year in the quarterfinal against Connell.  Hopefully they can bring that back to the dome tomorrow and get back to that State Title Game,” reported Tracy Williams from the Sun Dome.

On Saturday they will face Lynden Christian who defeated Castle Rock in a set of four tough games, 25-21, 13-25, 27-25, 25-23.

If the Lady Goats defeat Lynden Christian they will go into the Championship match against Kings or Cedar Park Christian who play in the other semi-final match at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Last year it was Kings versus Chelan with Kings taking the state championship match in four games, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20. Maybe this is the year for the Goats to bring home the State Championship trophy.
