With one more match on the regular schedule, Chelan’s Lady Goats tied up first place in the Caribou Trail League when they defeated Cashmere 25-19, 25-12, 25-17 on Tuesday evening, October 26, at Chelan.
It was also senior night and the three seniors on the squad were honored for their accomplishments and play over the past four years of high school volleyball. “We feel blessed to have them on the team,” stated Coach Donene Hendricks in her volleyball report..
The win gave Chelan a 9-0 league record as they move towards ending the season in Omak on Saturday, October 30. If they win there, the Lady Goats will be the Caribou Trail League champions and will have top seeding for the Bi-District Championships which will be held in District 7 this year.
Chelan’s strengths going into the post season is the teams high serving record. Against Cashmere, Harris, Maghara DePaoli and McKenna Hawkins were 100 percent from the service line.
