The team’s two losses came against Woodinville in pool play. This was an extremely close match with Woodinville posting the two game win 20-25 and 19-26 That loss put Chelan into the consolation bracket for fifth place. The Lady Goats went on to defeat Sunnyside 25-10 and Squilicum 25-14 to take fifth. “These last two matches were only one game each to 25,” reported Coach Donene Hendricks.
“Throughout the day we played with some inconsistencies both offensively and defensively. However, in the two matches that we dropped, I was proud of the fact that our team never quit battling. I think the team feels motivated to work hard in practice to improve on our areas that we struggled in.”
