Jaicee Harris could possibly broken all single game records for a ChelanHigh School girl basketball player with 23 rebounds and 22 points. Harris who helped lift the Lady Goats to the win, will not be available this coming Friday night.
Cascade certainly came out on their senior night and tried to pick Chelan off, but the girls refused to give in and lose on the road. “This would have been the night for Cascade to pick us off,” said Assistant Coach Tracy Williams. “Our girls just battled back and refused to lose.”
It was definitely a slow night for the rest of the team. “Jaicee was there for the girls, but it was a slow night for the rest of the team.”
Friday night is Chelan’s senior night and the team will he honoring seniors Kelli Bowers, Houston Robison and Taylor McClellan. It is also the end of the regular season for Chelan and the Caribou Trail League title is up for grabs as the Lady Goats host the Okanogan Lady Bulldogs. “It’s nice to get the opportunity to play for the title in front of a home crowd,” said Williams.
Okanogan is the only team in league this year to beat Chelan. The winner of this game will be the No. 1 seed to the District Tournament and the loser, the No. 2 seed.
GoLakeChelan will be on hand to webcast the final regular season game with Russ Gatzmierer calling the play-by-plan action.
