Lady Goats on track to win CTL
Okanogan Pioneers only teamin the way
By Richard Uhlhorn
The Lady Goats rolled over the Omak Lady Pioneers 60-38 on Friday night, February 5, on the Pioneers home court. This is just one more step along the way to winning the Caribou Trail League Championship, but the Goats still have to get by the Cascade Kodiaks this coming Tuesday night, February 9, in Leavenworth and then the Okanogan Bulldogs next Friday night, February 12, on Senior night at home.
The Chelan/Okanogan game will end regular season play for the girls and it should be a great one. The Bulldogs are currently ranked 5th in the Associated Press Coaches Poll while the Goats are ranked 8th.
Okanogan is the only team to beat Chelan this year during the regular season and it will be a battle to see who comes out on top of what should be an epic battle.
At Omak, it was Kelli Bowers leading the scoring with 14 points, just one point ahead of Jaicee Harris who had 13 on the night. Harris also had 6 rebounds, but Clancy Courtney pulled down a team high 7 rebounds and scored 2 points. Houston Robison, Courtney Dietrich and Cari Williams added 7 points, and 6 points each respectively.
GoLakeChelan will be on hand to webcast the upcoming home game against Okanogan. If you canít make it, you can watch it from the comfort of home.
