51-35 outing keeps Lady Goats in 2nd place

Jaicee Harris lit up the boards offensively and defensively against the Lake Roosevelt Raiders on Saturday night with 20 rebounds, 18 points, 3 assists and 3 steals before fouling out of this game. "She was strong all night long," reported Assistant Coach Tracy Williams. "A 20 rebound, 18 points performance is very special for any player."
Chelan stayed solidly in second place in the CTL with this 51-35 victory. The Lady Raiders controlled the game offensively in the first quarter, outscoring the Goats 9-3. Chelan adjusted in the second quarter and gained back the point it lost in quarter one by outscoring Lake Roosevelt 18-15 and going to the locker room down by 3 points at the break.
"In the many trips I have made to LakeRoosevelt over the years, some of our most talented teams have had trouble winning in the Raider gym," said Williams. "As this game progressed we became more dominant, and allowed only 11 points in the second half to our opponent."
Taylor McClellan had 9 points and 4 rebounds off the bench with Cari Williams pulling down 7 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists and grabbing 3 steals. Kelli Bowers added 10 points to the total.
Emily Schramm had her first varsity outing and according to Williams, played very well. "It was just another good team effort by our girls. Ten girls played and eight of them scored."
The win put Chelan at 13-1 overall and they will face Brewster this Tuesday night, January 26, beginning at "Every game is a big game for Chelan as we chase the Okanogan Bulldogs to the end of the regular season," added Williams.
