Senior harrier Gabby Guillen led her team to a credible third place finish at the WIAA State Cross-Country Championships at the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco last Saturday.

Chelan's Lady Goat Cross-Country Team entered the WIAA State Cross-Country Championship at the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco last Saturday as the third ranked team in the state by the State Coaches Association.
The Lady Goats lived up to that ranking by finishing third overall in the event and bringing home another XC trophy for the ChelanHigh School trophy case. First and second place went to the No. 1 and 2 ranked teams in the state; King's and LaCenter. Other CTL teams finishing were Omak in 6th place and Cashmere in 3r place.
Northwest's Maddie Myers topped the girls field with a time of .
Chelan does well at these events by not spreading out, but remaining in a close grouping to maximize their scoring potential which is what they did again on Saturday.

The boys team finished a credible ninth at the championships and were led by Raven Bermen who came in 33rd overall in . The overall winner from Port Townsend had a time of , which shows just how competitive everyone is.
