Spring break is over… spring sports cranks up
By Richard Uhlhorn
Spring in the Lake ChelanSchool District brings a multitude of sports venues for the sports fan to follow our local athletes. Prior to the Spring Break, the various sports teams were already in action, but the action really heats up after Spring Break and all the sports teams begin vying for the CTL Championship in their respective sport.
This year, athletes are competing individually and as a team in baseball, fast pitch softball, boys soccer, track, tennis and golf. For the GoLakeChelan sports team, it is a huge task to cover each individual event taking place in town.
As an example… on Tuesday, April 6, ChelanHigh School will host the following sports: Golf, Baseball, Softball and Tennis. Tracy Williams’ daughter is playing softball, so he can get a few photos there, and maybe drop down to the baseball field and snap a few there. I will be at the Golf Course covering the Golf Team and then dropping down to Lake ChelanShores to cover some Tennis.
We also rely on the teams coaching staff to help us by sending in reports. Below is a report of early spring sports.
