The Lady Goats came out firing on all cylinders Saturday, November 8, against the Freeman Scotties, defeating them in this cross over game for the right to go to the state tournament 25-13, 25-22, 25-16.
Chelan was able to come out and get their momentum going in game one, forcing a number of unforced errors on the Freeman side of the court. The Lady Goats jumped to a 5-0 lead before Freeman could even get their bearings. Freeman took their first timeout when the score was 14-9 after which Chelan only allowed the Scotties four more points before closing them out.

In game two, the Freeman ladies were a lot more aggressive and it showed as the two teams battled for the momentum. Freeman finally gave in to Chelan when they were both tied at 21-all and Chelan went on to win this game 25-22, deflating the Scotties hopes.
Game three, according to GoLakeChelan’s Tracy Williams, was a Chelan blowout with the final score coming in at 25-16.
During game two, Cascade Kodiak Coach Marni McMahon, was video taping the Chelan Goats game against Freeman while her team was in the stands with the Chelan kids cheering Chelan on. “We so want Chelan to go to state,” said McMahon. “They are so deserving.”
