Sophmore Cari Williams replaced an injured Jaicee Harris at the outside hitting spot during last Saturday’s District opener when Harris injured her ankle. Williams put up 5 kills, had 2 digs and was 7 for 9 at the service line with one ace.

The winner of this upcoming match will be the first seed to the State Tournament. The loser will have to play the winner of the Okanongan/Brewster match for a cross-over match to determine the other state placement.
On Saturday evening, Coach Donene Hendricks had to make adjustments when outside hitter Jaicee Harris went down with an ankle injury in the warm up period. “That put her out for the night and she is questionable as to the severity of her injury,” reports Hendricks.
Cari Williams came off the bench and filled in for Harris the entire game. “We had great play from Cari and the entire team kept their poise and played with determination.”
Jamie Brunner led the team with 12 kills, served 13/14 and received a perfect 9/9. Setter Kelli Bowers had 31 assists, served 11/12 and had two kills. Darby Jenkins had five kills and a block. Sydney Austin had 11 kills, nine digs and served up an ace with her 15/16 at the service line.
Houston Robison had two kills, was 13/14 at the service line with five aces. She also blocked three kill shots from the middle. Cari Williams had five kills, two digs and was 7/9 at the service line with one ace.
AnnAlise Nelson had six digs on defense and received the ball 15-17 times. She was 4/5 at the service line. Kaylee Robelia was 2/2 at the service line and received 3/4 balls.
