The way to win…

                              Work hard today… win tomorrow

For the last 10 years, the “The Way to Win” has been inspiring athletes, coaches, parents, and others to embrace commitment, persevere and achieve personal and team goals both on and off the court.

Barbara Berry, founder and president of The Way to Win, along with her staff, have been teaching leadership seminars to children and adults throughout the United States. Berry is the author of “The Golden Ruels of Basketball, Fundamentals, Drills and Philosophies.”

Barbara is a University of Washington graduate where she studied Kinesiology, Sports Medicine and Sports Psychology. She was a starting point guard, played semi-professional ball internationally after college. She has over thirty years of high school and college level coaching and teaching experience. From 2002-2005 she was the Director of the Maple Valley Basketball Youth League and the Head Girl's Basketball Coach at Tahoma High School.

She played in the 1998 Nike World Masters Games and in the UW Huskys’ Alumni games in 2002 and 2004. Her other passions include hiking, golfing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, sailing and, of course, coaching and playing basketball.

Over the past several years, Berry has been building a home in the Lake Chelan Valley and just recently relocated from Maple Valley to Chelan.

It didn’t take long for Berry to bring her skills to the valley youth. The Way to Win will be offering basketball training this fall in Entiat and Manson.
