Barbara Berry, founder and president of The Way to Win, has recently relocated to the Lake Chelan Valley and is beginning to offer her training programs to the youth of the area.

For the last 10 years, the “The Way to Win” has been inspiring athletes, coaches, parents, and others to embrace commitment, persevere and achieve personal and team goals both on and off the court.
Barbara Berry, founder and president of The Way to Win, along with her staff, have been teaching leadership seminars to children and adults throughout the United States. Berry is the author of “The Golden Ruels of Basketball, Fundamentals, Drills and Philosophies.”
Barbara is a University of Washington graduate where she studied Kinesiology, Sports Medicine and Sports Psychology. She was a starting point guard, played semi-professional ball internationally after college. She has over thirty years of high school and college level coaching and teaching experience. From 2002-2005 she was the Director of the Maple Valley Basketball Youth League and the Head Girl's Basketball Coach at Tahoma High School.
She played in the 1998 Nike World Masters Games and in the UW Huskys’ Alumni games in 2002 and 2004. Her other passions include hiking, golfing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, sailing and, of course, coaching and playing basketball.
Over the past several years, Berry has been building a home in the Lake ChelanValley and just recently relocated from MapleValley to Chelan.
It didn’t take long for Berry to bring her skills to the valley youth. The Way to Win will be offering basketball training this fall in Entiat and Manson.
In Entiat, a program for boys and girls from 8th grade to 12th grade will be held at EntiatHigh School on Wednesdays beginning September 24 and continuing until October 29 from to . The cost of participating in this program is $90.
In Manson, The Way to Win will hold a program for Manson boys and girls in grades 4th to 7th grades from to beginning on Thursday, October 2 and ending on Thursday, October 30. The cost of this training program is $50.
