This year’s volleyball season began with a jamboree in Wenatchee on Saturday, September 1, and the Chelan girls proved once again that they are going to be tough competitors again winning four out of the six games played. “We played two games against Wenatchee, Eastmont and MosesLake,” reported Coach Donene Hendricks.

The team opened its first round of play against Wenatchee winning the first game 25-22 and then losing game two 21-25. MosesLake lost to Chelan in the second round, 25-18 and 25-16, but Eastmont was able to beat Chelan in game one 25-23. The Lady Goats rallied in game two against Eastmont and won that one 25-20.
The Junior Varsity and C-Squad also participated in the jamboree with the J.V. winning two out of its four games. The C-Squad was zero for the day, but Hendrick’s reported that many of these games were extremely close.
