Chelan soccer loses tough loser out
match against Cascade
by Richard Uhlhorn
Coach Paul Quick has not responded for an update on the Chelan Soccer Program, but Chelan lost its loser out game to the Cascade Kodiaks on Thursday, May 8, at the Chelan Falls soccer field by a score of 2-1.
In watching this game, I was impressed with Chelan’s ability to keep the ball on their end of the field. They were able to take a number of shots on goal, but were overshooting the net, and when they didn’t, the very talented Cascade goalie was there to stop a goal.
In the end, the team stopped a Cascade shut out by scoring a goal in the last seconds of this exciting game.
No. 9 Julio Juarez makes one of many Chelan attempts to score against the Cascade Kodiaks last Thursday.
Congratulations to the Chelan Soccer Team. They proved themselves to be a talented soccer team. Watch out for next year. The boys will be back.
