Roy Figueroa pitched a complete game against the Cascade Kodiaks and helped hand the Chelan Goats their first league win of the season with a 3-for-3 effort at the plate including a single, triple and a home run.

The Chelan Goats were trailing 3-1 against the Cascade Kodiaks in the top of the sixth inning when they began to take advantage of Cascade’s Kellen Parton tiring arm, tying the game up at 3-all.
Cascade came back in the bottom of the sixth with a go-ahead run, but in the top of the seventh inning, Chealn jumped all over Cascade’s closer, J. Haight, running through the batting order and scoring five runs to take the lead 8-5.
In the bottom of the seventh, Cascade tried to get back in the game, but the Goats defense came through with some great catches by left fielder Jesse Quigley and shortstop Alex Brown to seal the win with two Cascade runners in scoring postion.
Roy Figueroa struck out seven batters and gave up three earned runs on five hits.
The Goats committed two defensive errors in the game.
Offensively, Chelan had 10 hits and five earned runs.
Figueroa was 3-for-3 at the plate with a single, triple and homerun. Alex Brown and Brooks Gatzemeier were 2-for-3 at the plate. Niles DesMarias was 1-for-3 and both Greg Schultz and Cory DeShetler were 1-for-4.
Chelan plays a non-league game against the Billygoats on Thurday, March 20 with the next league game this coming Saturday, March 22, in Okanogan.
