By Richard Uhlhorn
It was a fast paced game that Grandview brought to the Yakima Sundome on Monday, January 21 and Chelan played right along with them until Grandview pushed into the fourth quarter and outscored Chelan 25-13 to win this annual TourneyTown Shootout 71-54.
“They were quicker than us,” said Dennis Rahm on Tuesday morning. “We played strong for the first three quarters and then faded.”
Joe Harris led the team with 20 points, six rebounds, 2 assists, one block and one steal, but also had six turnovers. “Turnovers definitely hurt them,” remarked Rahm. Zane Sandum had five turnovers, but also pulled down 12 rebounds and put in eight points along with stealing the ball three times. Mat Engstrom settled down and pulled down eight rebounds and had nine points. Brett Linehan fouled out, but not before contributing 10 points to Chelan’s effort and pulling down six rebounds.
